Notes
P. heterophylla closely resembles yellow-flowered forms of P. kermesina. It is distinguished mainly by its larger flowers with more stamens, but also has a rather more decumbent habit. Leaf-shape is very variable and may sometimes be quite broad, reminiscent of the pink-flowered broad-leaved variant of P. kermesina from the Kacheliba area of western Kenya.
