Information
suffruticose, glabrous, decumbent, spreading widely, the fl. branches ascending, ending in long, nude, one-headed peduncles; leaves tapering much at base, oblong, obovate or spathulate, either undivided or (more frequently) inciso-pinnatifid, with short, broad lobes, all ciliate-toothed, the cilia slender, elongate; inv. sc. about 8, oblong, acute, barbellate at top, concrete at base; rays 8, long, broad, 4–5-nerved; ray achenes closely silky. Stems many from the crown, trailing, several feet long. Leaves 1 1/2–2 in. long, 4–8 lines wide, mostly pinnatifid; the marginal cilia copious, 1–2 lines long. Pedunc. 6–8 in. long.

SOUTH AFRICA Hills and Mt. sides near Capetown, frequent. Stellenbosch, E. & Z.! (Hb. Th., D., Sd., Hk.)
