Information
An Undershrub; branchlets long, green, sulcate, slender, pubescent towards the tip. Leaves shortly petioled, oblong, 1/2– 3/4 in. long by half as broad, obtuse with a mucro, narrowed to the base, comparatively thin, dull green and pubescent on both surfaces, 3–5-nerved. Flowers solitary in the axils of the upper leaves on short erecto-patent pubescent pedicels; bracts minute, ovate or lanceolate. Perianth 1/4 in. long above the ovary; lobes ovate, 1/4 the length of the tube.

German East Africa Mozamb. Dist. Kilimanjaro; Marangu, 3500 ft., Volkens, 1723!
