Notes
It is sometimes stated that Ocimum suffrutescens was described by Thonning, but according to Hepper, The West African Herbaria of Isert and Thonning (1976), it was described by Schumacher. Orthosiphon suffrutescens is perhaps not distinct from O. schimperi and the Asiatic O. rubicundus (D. Don) Benth., and if this is the case, the species should be known under the latter name.
