Information
Broad-crowned tree to 20 m high; bark deeply longitudinally fissured, most parts brownish pubescent when young. Twigs relatively slender. Leaves mostly opposite or nearly so, (3–)5–7(–8)-foliolate; petiole (2.5–)4–8(–10) cm; leaflets ± equal in size, elliptic-lanceolate to elliptic-oblanceolate, (2–)5–10(–16) x (0.5–)1.5–4.5 cm, base attenuate to cuneate in 2–5(–11) mm petiolule, tip acutely or obtusely acuminate, margin sometimes undulate, thinly pubescent mainly on midrib, almost glabrous above. Inflorescences appearing with new leaves. Male inflorescences capitate; peduncle 12–15(–20) mm; bracts minute; flowers: pedicel up to 2 mm; sepals 6–7, 1 mm long; stamens 5–7, 3–4 mm long, anthers 0.8–1 mm long. Female inflorescences 1–3-flowered; peduncle c. 5 mm extending to 10(–20) mm in fruit; sepals 5–12 x 1.5–3 mm, obtuse, pubescent; styles 2 mm, densely white pubescent with brownish-grey stigmas. Fruit globose or nearly so, 1.5–2 x 1.5–1.8 cm, yellow when ripe. Seeds compressed-ovoid, 10–13 mm long, brown.
