Information
Annual or perennial herb; stems erect or ascending, up to c. 60 cm long, glabrous or scabrid. Leaves sessile; blade linear to linear-lanceolate, 10–50 x 1–5 mm, acute at the apex, glabrous to minutely scabrid above and on midvein beneath; stipule sheath 1–2 mm long, with some 0.5–2.5 mm long fimbriae. Flowers isostylous or heterostylous, in 3–10-flowered sessile or pedunculate axillary cymes or clusters; pedicels 1–4 mm long. Calyx-lobes 1–2 mm long, with scabrid margins. Corolla white or tinged blue or pink; tube 1–1.6 mm long, densely hairy at throat; lobes 0.7–2 mm long. Capsule 1–2 mm long, glabrous, with scarcely raised beak. Seeds pale brown, c. 0.3 mm long, reticulate.
