Notes
The corolla in the specimen cited above is not entirely glabrous. A specimen from northern Kenya, Bally & Smith 14548 (5 km. NE. of El Wak, 11 Dec. 1971, from open Acacia bushland on limestone with scattered Delonix, 380 m.) is technically var. delagoensis, but is slender and very different from the specimen from T7; it has fine spreading pubescence on the calyx-tube and capsule and papilla-like hairs on the stem. It is closer to var. amaniensis in habit.
