Information
Small much-branched shrub to 50 cm.; twigs stellate-puberulous, very soon glabrescent. Petiole 2–5 mm. long; lamina thinly coriaceous, dull green, elliptic to elliptic-obovate, 1.5–4 cm. long, 1–2.5 cm. wide, rounded at the apex, cuneate at the base, soon glabrous; lateral nerves 2–6 pairs, often obscure. Racemes axillary and at older nodes, with 2–8 flowers (often rather crowded above if few); axis 3–15 mm. long, puberulous; pedicels 1–1.5 mm. long; bract narrowly ovate-triangular to lanceolate, 1–2 mm. long. Receptacle 1–1.5 mm. long, puberulous; calyx 0.3–0.5 mm. long. Corolla 3–3.5 cm. long, pinkish red, with dark marks at the base of the lobes, thinly stellate-puberulous; bud-tip clavate; tube 15 mm. long, with basal swelling ovoid-ellipsoid, 2–3 mm. long, narrowed for 2–4 mm., then gradually flared; lobes erect, expanded at the tips. Filaments inserted 5 mm. above the base of the lobes, the upper part thickened, coiling and detaching; anthers 1.5–1.8 mm. long, the dorsal thecae relatively short, with a relatively conspicuous truncate connective-appendage. Berry not seen.

Notes
Most similar to O. curviramea, but altogether much more delicate and with less hairy flowers.
