Information
Rhizome creeping with very narrow, almost hair-like orange-brown scales. Fronds closely spaced, 2–8 mm apart, (2.5–)12–59 cm tall; stipe 6–20 cm long with dense scales and pubescence throughout; lamina narrowly oblong, 9–26 cm long, (2–)4–7(–11.5) cm wide, partly bipinnate; pinnae in 7–14(–25) pairs, oblong to narrowly triangular, 2–3.7 cm long, 1.3–2.5 cm wide, pinnate at base and deeply pinnatifid above; pinnules/segments in 3–8(–12) pairs, narrowly oblong, 0.4–1.5 cm long, 2–7 mm wide, the basal pinnule sometimes pinnatifid, glabrous above or with very few hairs, very densely scaly beneath, the scales pale brown, narrowly lanceolate, very attenuate, 2–4 mm long, up to 0.5 mm wide, the longest on the rhachis, costae and costules; mid-vein only visible. Sori almost totally obscured by the scales. Fig. 3 (p. 6)
