Information
Rhizome shortly erect, with few tufted fronds, forming tubers up to 1.5 cm. long and also producing long thin stolons. Frond erect, thinly to firmly herbaceous. Stipe pale-dark-brown, up to IS cm. long, with sparse very narrowly lanceolate entire acuminate brown scales up to 4 mm. long becoming subglabrous with age. Lamina up to 85 x 11 cm., pinnate, narrowly elliptic-lanceolate in outline, acute, with the lower pinnae gradually reduced. Pinnae up to 72 pairs, subsessile, very narrowly oblong-attenuate, sometimes falcate, crenate to serrate with a prominently auriculate base; glabrous on both surfaces with inconspicuous submarginal hydathodes on the ventral surface; the lowest pinnae oblong, obtuse, auriculate. Rhachis stramineous, glabrous except for scattered brown hair-like scales up to 2 mm. long. Sori semi-lunate, opening towards the apex of the pinnae, set in a line about 1/2-way between the costa and the margin on both sides of the costa, c. 1.5–3 mm. apart and up to 1.5 mm. in diam.; indusium semi-lunate, membranous, entire.
