Information
Fronds slender, linear-lanceolate, 20–30(–40) cm long, 2.5–4.5(–6) cm wide; stipe 3–7 cm long; fertile pinnae remote, ovate to narrowly ovate-oblong, subdimidiate, 0.8–2.5 cm long, 0.4–0.8 cm wide, enlarged, truncate to auriculate on the acroscopic side, scarcely overlapping the rhachis and not or hardly concealing it, obliquely truncate on the basiscopic side.

Notes
I was never convinced of the validity of this taxon at specific rank although both Pichi Sermolli and F. Jarrett have accepted it. Schelpe does not mention it but it is clear he considered it only a form of N. undulata. Both Kornaś and Benl speak of transitional forms and suggest varietal rank is preferable.
