Information
Loosely caespitose perennial up to 80 cm tall, arising from a slender rhizome and forming tufts up to 30 cm in diameter; culms erect, slender; leaf lamina 7–25 cm long, filiform, flexuous, firm but not pungent, glabrous.Panicle 6–16 cm long, ovate or oblong, the branches ascending or spreading.Spikelets 4.5–8.5 mm long; inferior glume minute, 0.4–0.9 mm long, narrowly lanceolate, nerveless; superior glume 1.3–1.8 mm long, narrowly oblong-lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, 0–1-nerved; lemmas 2.8–4.2 mm long, narrowly oblong-lanceolate; awn 11–13 mm long.
