plant 3/4–1 1/4 ft. high; stem very stout; leaves cauline, lanceolate or oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, fleshy, 2–4 1/2 in. long; scape 3/4–1 ft. high; spikes 4–7 in. long, dense, many-flowered; bracts ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, 3/4–1 1/4 in. long; pedicels 5–8 lin. long; flowers medium-sized, green, with 2 or 3 longitudinal red bands on the dorsal sepal and petals; dorsal sepal galeate, obovate, obtuse, about 5 lin. long; spur oblong, obtuse, spreading, about as long as the limb; lateral sepals oblong, obtuse, spreading, 5 lin. long; petals obliquely ovate-oblong, narrowed upwards, obtuse, 3–3 1/2 lin. long; lip linear-oblong, obtuse, 3 1/2–4 lin. long; column short; anther reflexed; rostellum ascending, with obtuse arms; stigma pulvinate. null
