Information
Evergreen tree up to 18 m. high; branchlets 4-angled. Leaf-lamina broadly elliptic, 4–7.5 cm. long, 2.3–4 cm. wide, obtusely acuminate, base cuneate, both surfaces densely papillose-muricate; petiole 2–4 mm. long. Inflorescence a 3–11-flowered axillary cyme: peduncle (with rhachides) 12–15 mm. long; pedicels 2–4 mm. long. Calyx broadly obconical, 1.5 mm. long, 2.5 mm. in diameter; lobes semicircular, 1 mm. long. Petals oblong to obovate, 3 mm. long, 2 mm. wide, white. Anthers 1.5 mm. long; filaments 4 mm. long. Fruit (immature) globose, 7 mm. in diameter.
