bulb ovoid, 1 in. diam.; leaves broad, ovate, obtuse, thin, glabrous, finally 3–5 in. long and broad; capitulum dense, sessile, 2–3 in. diam.; outer bracts ovate, acute, much imbricated, an inch long; pedicels finally 3/4–1 in. long; perianth white, 3/4– 7/8 in. long; segments lanceolate, reflexing half as long as the tube; filaments slender, whitish, under 1/2 in. long; anthers oblong, minute; capsule turbinate, acutely triquetrous, 3/4 in. long. null
