bulb ovoid or globose, under an inch in diameter; leaves ovate or orbicular, thin, obtuse, glabrous when mature, slightly tuberculato-hispid when young, 2–3 in. long and broad; capitulum dense, sessile, 1 in. diam.; outer bracts ovate, acute, much imbricated, under 1/2 in. long; pedicels very short; perianth white, 1/2 in. long; segments lanceolate, as long as the tube; filaments as long as the perianth-segments; anthers oblong, minute. null
