bulb ovoid, 1 in. diam; leaves round-oblong, thin, glabrous, obtuse, 1–1 1/4 in. long, 3/4–1 in. broad; capitulum globose, sessile, 15–20-flowered; outer bracts lanceolate, acuminate, 1/2– 5/8 in. long; outer pedicels very short; perianth white, 1/2 in. long; segments lanceolate, reflexing, half as long as the stout cylindrical tube, which is a line in diameter; filaments fleshy, ligulate, 1/8 in. long, connate into a distinct cup; anthers small, oblong. null
