Information
Shrub or tree; stems glabrous. Leaves clustered on older branches, simple; blade oblanceolate to obovate, 7–22 x 4–7 mm, usually obtuse and mucronulate at the apex, glabrous, midrib raised in basal part only, lateral nerves scarcely visible; petiole 2–5 mm long, slender. Flowers solitary or in few-flowered clusters; pedicels 4–9 mm long, glabrous. Receptacle cylindrical, 3–5 mm long. Sepals 3–4, 4–5 mm long. Petals absent. Stamens c. 20–25; androgynophore exceeding the receptacle by 2–2.5 mm. Ovary narrowly cylindrical, c. 2 mm long; gynophore 8–10 mm long, straight or recurved in fruit. Fruit up to 3.5 x 0.6 cm, torulose, glabrous, 1–several-seeded.
