Information
Forestshrub or small tree up to 45 ft. high; bark dark brown or black, smooth; slash black and brittle outside, reddish inside like that of D. alboflavescens, crumbling; sapwood pinkish-white with black longitudinal lines; leaves dark green and glossy above, margins coarsely undulate; flowers pale yellow or white, borne down the leafless twigs but not on the trunk; fruit red, turning black.
