Information
perennial, suffruticose at base, diffuse; leaves on short petioles, elliptic-oblong, obtuse, rounded at base, crenate; stipules pungent; peduncles short, pluri-bracteate, 4–3- flowered; petals entire. Very like M. biflora, but evidently with a perennial root; shorter and more oval leaves, and more numerous flowers. The pubescence varies greatly.
