pseudobulbs ovoid or ovoid-oblong, 1 1/2–3 in. long, with several ovate strongly-veined imbricate sheaths, about 4- or 5-leaved; leaves elongate-linear, acute, somewhat arching or suberect, strongly-veined, con-duplicate below, articulated above the base, 1/2–1 ft. long, 1/2–1 in. long; scapes erect, 1 1/2–2 1/4 ft. high, with numerous spathaceous sheaths below; racemes long and lax, many-flowered; bracts oblong or oblong-lanceolate, acute, 1/3– 1/2 in. long; pedicels 1/4– 1/2 in. long; flowers medium-sized; sepals elliptic-oblong, apiculate or subobtuse, green with a few light brown spots, 1/3– 1/2 in. long; petals suborbicular with a broadly clawed base, obtuse, about as long as the sepals, bright yellow; lip strongly 3-lobed, about as long as the petals; side lobes erect, broadly oblong, very obtuse, green with some purple veining; front lobe ovate-orbicular, obtuse, somewhat reflexed at the sides, bright yellow; disc convex and thickened at the base; spur broadly conical, obtuse, 1/6 in. long; column oblong, about 1/6 in. long. null
