pseudobulbs ovoid-oblong, 2–3 in. long, about 5–7-leaved; leaves elongate-lanceolate, acuminate, arching, 1/2–1 1/2 ft. long, 1 1/4–2 1/2 in. broad, with 5–7 prominent veins, conduplicate below, articulated above the base; scapes lateral, erect, 2 1/2–3 1/2 ft. long, with several spathaceous sheaths; racemes long, lax, many-flowered; bracts ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, 3/4–1 in. long; pedicels 1/2– 3/4 in. long; flowers medium-sized; sepals oblong or elliptic-oblong, obtuse or apiculate, 1/2– 3/4 in. long, more or less reflexed, green barred with brown, sometimes purple-brown; petals ovate-orbicular, spreading, rather longer than the sepals, bright yellow; lip strongly 3-lobed, about as long as the petals; side lobes erect, broadly oblong or nearly quadrate, obtuse, yellow with brown stripes and apex, front lobe broadly ovate, obtuse, somewhat reflexed at the sides, bright yellow; disc convex and thickened at the base, with 4 very obtuse keels; spur broadly conical, obtuse, about 1/4 in. long; column oblong, 1/4 in. long. null
