Information
Stem 15–50 cm. tall, usually much branched but mainly in upper part, ± hirsute below or rarely glabrous. Leaves up to 12–45 x 1–3·5 mm., linear to narrowly lanceolate. Pedicels up to 10–25 mm. long, glabrous. Hypanthium 10–nerved, glabrous or occasionally with a few hairs. Calyx–lobes 0·6–2·0 mm. long. Corolla 3·2–5·2 mm. long, pale blue or blue with white centre. Anthers 0·8–1·2 mm. long. Style distinctly 2–lobed, hairy or glabrous below.
Habitat
In grassland or woodland, usually in moist depressions on sandy ground.
