branchlets of the male rather slender, of the female stouter, finely pubescent, rather sharply angular when young, at length becoming terete; leaves of the male slightly smaller than those of the female, the former 1/2–1 in. long, 1–1 1/2 lin. broad, the latter 1–1 3/4 in. long, 1–1 3/4 lin. broad, all linear-oblanceolate, obtuse, flat, longitudinally striate or wrinkled, glabrous on both surfaces; male inflorescences solitary and terminating short lateral branchlets, 1/3– 1/2 in. in diam., globose; bracts 3/4 lin. long, lanceolate, densely villous; perianth-tube 1 lin. long, cylindric, pubescent; lobes 1 1/4 lin. long, pubescent; limb 1/2 lin. long, lanceolate, subacute, pubescent; anthers 1/3 lin. long, linear; style 1 2/3 lin. long, filiform, hairy below; stigma 1/4 lin. long, ellipsoid or clavate; female inflorescence 3/4–1 1/4 in. long, 3/4–1 in. in diam., oblong-ellipsoid; bracts 3 lin. long, 5 lin. broad, villous at the base, otherwise pubescent, ciliate; perianth-segments 4 3/4 lin. long, widened, membranous and glabrous below, villous above; limb 1/4 lin. long, linear; style 2 3/4 lin. long, cylindric-filiform, with a few long hairs at the base; stigma truncate or minutely bifid at the apex; ovary 1 1/4 lin. long, elliptic, long hairy. null
