LASIOSPERMUM brachyglossum DC. [family COMPOSITAE], l. c. 38
Information
annual; somewhat fleshy bipinnati-partite, the lobes or lobules spreading, linear, acute or mucronate; inv. shorter than the disc, the scales oblong, obtuse; heads radiate, the rays oval-oblong, scarcely longer than the involucre. About a foot high, branched chiefly from the base. Leaves 1 1/2–2 inches long, the lobes divaricating. Pedunc. 2–3 inches long. Heads smaller than in the preceding, and the rays very much shorter.
