bulb globose; leaves 2, lanceolate, ascending, glabrous, 1/2 ft. long; peduncle 2–4 in. long; raceme dense, 2–3 in. long, 1 in. diam.; central and lower flowers horizontal; pedicels erecto-patent, 1/12– 1/8 in. long; bracts minute, ovate; perianth campanulate, bright red-purple, 1/4 in. long; outer and inner segments nearly equal; stamens as long as the perianth or slightly exserted. null
