Notes
The varieties are connected by intermediate stages. Several hybrids between L. pendula and the varieties of L. tricolor are in cultivation, the finest of which is L. Cammi, Hort., which combines the bright yellow flowers of L. aurea with the habit of L. pendula. L. Comessi, Hort., differs from L. Nelsoni by the outer segments being rather longer in proportion to the inner.
