leaves ensiform-acuminate, 4 ft. long, 1 1/2 in. broad low down, dull green, acutely keeled, scabrous on the margin; peduncle stout, stiffly erect, as long as the leaves; raceme very dense, 4–6 in. long, 2 1/2 in. diam.; pedicels very short; bracts obtuse, 1/4– 1/3 in. long; perianth cylindrical, 1 1/4–1 1/2 in. long, 1/6 in. diam. at the throat; segments ovate, obtuse, 1/12 in. long; stamens finally just exserted. null
