Information
Rootstock subglobose, with many slender fibres. Leaves numerous, erect, linear, 1 1/2–2 ft. long, 1/4– 1/3 in. broad low down, not acutely keeled, smooth on the edge. Peduncle as long as the leaves. Raceme dense, finally 1/2 ft. long; pedicels very short; bracts oblong, 1/8 in. long. Perianth cylindrical, nearly 1 in. long; segments small, oblong. Stamens not exserted. Style much exserted. Capsule ovoid, 1/6 in. diam.
Distribution
Nyasaland Mozamb. Dist. Mount Zomba, amongst stones, 6000 ft., Kirk! and without precise locality, Buchanan, 1482!
