Description
A scrambling shrub; of the forest; in Sierra Leone to S Nigeria, on into Gabon.The plant is myremecodomous, harbouring ants in internodal cavities of the stem (1, 2). In Liberia its Basa name is derived from an insect with a poisonous sting known as wro.
