Notes
Berjero, marode lugud, tarraf (Som.). K. flammea has previously been regarded as a distinct species restricted to Somalia, distinguished mainly by its sessile leaves and more caducous calyx-lobes. However, the variation seems quite continuous, and also covers K. elliptica, which is included here as well. K. glaucescens subsp. arabica Cuf., described from Yemen, was referred to K. deficiens (Forssk.) Asch. & Schweinf. var. glabra Raadts in Willdenowia 18: 423 (1989).
