Information
Annual herb, up to 1 m tall, subglabrous or minutely puberulous on young parts. Leaves narrowly elliptic to lanceolate, 1–11 x 0.3–2.7 cm, subacute at the apex; petiole 2–15 mm long. Sepals 4(–5), (1.3–)2–3.5 mm long. Petals 1–3 mm long. Stamens 4(–5). Capsules 3–16(–19) mm long. Seeds 0.3–0.4 mm long.
Range
S3 (near Goba) Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and westwards to Senegal and southwards to Natal, Madagascar, tropical Asia.
Altitude range
c. 35 m.
