young branches villous-pubescent, afterwards glabrous; leaves unifoliolate, ovate or ovate-lanceolate, obtuse or sometimes acute, pubescent, 1/2–1 1/2 in. long, shortly petioled; flowers terminal, generally solitary; calyx pubescent; lobes about 10, acicular, obtuse, 3–4 lin. long; corolla-tube slender, 9–10 lin. long; lobes 10–15, narrowly lanceolate-linear, acute, a little shorter than the tube. null
