Information
A climbing shrub with glabrous branches. Leaves simple, opposite or sub-opposite; blades simple, narrowly elliptic or elliptic, said to be more rarely obvate-oblong and very rarely sub-rotund, shortly acuminate at apex and shortly cuneate at base, very variable in size on the same branch, the best-formed ones 4–6.5 cm. long, 1.8–2.5 cm. broad, midrib very slightly impressed on the upper surface, with the main lateral veins more or less prominent on the lower surface, somewhat puberulous along the midrib on the upper surface and with pubescent acarodomatia axillary to the main nerves on the lower surface, otherwise glabrous; petiole 1.5–3 mm. long, not distinctly articulated. Inflorescence terminal to the branches, with 4–6 flowers; pedicels slender, glabrous, 1–1.2 cm. long. Calyx glabrous, except for a few short hairs sometimes on the lobes; lobes linear or linear-lanceolate, 2–3 mm. long. Corolla white, tube 2–2.1 cm. long.

Distribution
TANGANYIKA Lindi District Mingoyo, Gillman 1454! A slight variant with the lower lateral veins very prominent on the lower surface.
