Savannahtree, to 60 ft. high, with grey or ochraceous tomentellous foliage and branchlets, bark exuding a red resin, comparatively small fragrant flowers and large 5–6-seeded pods which burst with curling valves scattering the seeds;gregarious, usually on stony ground.
