Information
Twining sometimes very vigorous herb up to 6 m. high. Stems slender, terete, hirsute with long yellow-brown patent up to 6 mm. long hairs. Leaves palmately compound with 5 leaflets sessile, elliptic or elliptic-oblong, 2·5–9 × 1–4 cm., acute at the base, acute, acuminate at the apex, entire, appressed-pilose on both surfaces; petiole slender, as long as or longer than the lamina, 2·5–11·5 cm. long, patently hirsute. Inflorescences few-several-flowered; peduncle up to 22 cm. long; patently hirsute; pedicels 10–25 mm. long, patently hirsute. Bracts lanceolate, 2–4 mm. long, caducous. Sepals unequal, the 3 outer 14–25 mm. long, ovate-lanceolate, acute or acuminate, densely hirsute; the 2 inner slightly shorter, ovate, acute, glabrous. Corolla funnel-shaped, white, up to 3·5 cm. long, glabrous. Capsule globose, pale brown, glabrous, 4-celled, 4-valved. Seeds 4, glabrous.
