Information
Erect slender shrub, up to 1.5 m tall; young stems densely silvery pubescent and with many prominent leaf scars. Leaf-blades linear-oblong to ovate-lanceolate, 3–8.5 x 0.6–3 cm, often folded, cuneate to rounded at the base, subacute to obtuse at the apex, glabrous to sparsely pubescent above, silvery pubescent beneath; petiole up to 1.5(–3) cm long. Flowers solitary; pedicel 3–6 mm long; bracts linear, 2–4 mm long. Sepals lanceolate, 10–12 x 3–5 mm, pubescent. Corolla cream, opening in evening, c. 5.5–9 cm long, funnel-shaped, midpetaline areas pilose. Capsule narrowly obovoid, 15–20 mm long, glabrous. Seeds ovoid, 6–7 mm long, covered by off-white 10–12 mm long hairs.
