Information
Leaf-blade mostly ovate, entire, with very sparse “ rucked up ” white-cottony tomentum beneath. Inflorescence often lax and few-flowered. Sepals lanceolate, bristly-pilose and glandular or glabrescent. Corolla about 2.5–3 cm. long.
Range
DISTR. K3–6; T2–5 not known elsewhere, but may occur in Uganda
Altitude range
1400–1950 m.

Notes
Hallier’s treatment is possibly to be preferred since lax-flowered specimens are very close to I. ficifolia Lindl. Species 23–26 form a complex and may be a singlespecies but then the variation would be very wide and cover some easily distinguished if somewhat unstable types. Genetical work is clearly indicated. Dammer gives the corolla-length of his species as 3.9 cm. but the preserved isotype unfortunately has no corollas.
