Information
Prostrate-ascending or erect annual herb up to 1·5 m. Stems not much branched, slender, stellate-pubescent. Leaf lamina linear to linear-oblong, 1·8–6 × 0·4–1·2 cm., cuneate to shortly cordate or hastate at the base, obtuse or subacute, minutely mucronate at the apex, stellate-pubescent on both surfaces; petiole up to 7 mm. long, stellate-pubescent. Flowers axillary, solitary; bracts linear more or less 4 mm. long; pedicels 2·5 mm. long. Sepals subequal, ovate-lanceolate, up to 10 × 3 mm., membranous stellate-pubescent, ciliate at the margin. Corolla narrowly funnel-shaped, up to 3 cm. long, nearly glabrous; tube narrow, more or less 2 cm. long, purple; limb whitish. Ovary glabrous. Capsule globose, glabrous, apiculate by the style-base. Seeds black, appressed pubescent.

Bushland and pans, dampish soil.
