Information
Shrublet to c. 40–60 cm tall, densely covered with appressed or slightly spreading white hairs. Leaves digitately 3-foliolate; petiole up to 5(–7) mm long; leaflets cuneate-obovate, up to 6 x 3.5 mm; stipules narrowly triangular, c. 0.5 mm long. Racemes many-flowered, 10–70 mm long including a peduncle of (2–)5–10 mm. Calyx 2–2.5 mm long, divided to below the middle into narrowly triangular lobes. Standard pubescent outside, persistent. Stamens 2.4–3.2 mm long. Pod reflexed, straight, dorsiventrally flattened and somewhat torulose, densely strigose, c. 3–5-seeded.

Notes
Differs from I. spiniflora by the non-spinescent, distinctly pedunculate, not glabrescent inflorescence axis, fatter less torulose pods, smaller stipules and digitate leaves. Some plants from C1 (Wieland 4572, 4637) apparently belonging here have mainly 1-foliolate leaves as in I. karkarensis. The relationship between this taxon and I. karkarensis needs further study.
