Shrublet up to 1.5(–3) m tall, silvery pubescent. Leaf-rhachis up to 3 cm long including a petiole of up to 10 mm. Leaflets 1–5(–7), alternate, oblong, up to 35 x 12 mm, the terminal often much longer than the rest, strigulose on both sides. Racemes many-flowered, usually less than 11 cm long. Calyx 2–3 mm long; lobes triangular, equalling or slightly longer than the tube. Standard silvery outside. Stamens 4–5 mm long. Pod 12–18 x 2 mm, curved and ± torulose, reflexed, white strigulose, 6–8-seeded.

N1, 3; C2 Eritrea, Ethiopia and westwards to Senegal, Djibouti, Socotra, Angola, and Arabia and eastwards to Java.
