corm globose, 3–4 in. diam.; leaves 6–8, lorate, acuminate, subcoriaceous, shortly hairy on the keel and midrib beneath, 1 1/2–2 ft. long, 1 1/2–2 in. broad in the lower half; peduncles 2–3, a foot long, ancipitous, densely pilose; flowers 6–12 in a lax raceme; lower pedicels very short; bracts linear, villose; perianth-limb 3/4 in. long; inner segments oblong, yellow; outer oblong-lanceolate, densely pilose all over the back; anthers lanceolate, 1/4 in. long; filaments short; ovary obconic, densely villose, 1/4 in. long; stigmas concrete. null
