Information
Stems with short glandular hairs. Leaves suborbicular to ovate-oblong, up to 40 x 30–40 mm, palmately 7-lobed, with short glandular hairs; petiole 0.5–2 cm long. Peduncle c. 10 mm long, pubescent; pedicels 2–4 mm long; bracts up to 10 x 3 mm. Outer sepals ovate or orbicular, 12–15 x 11–13 mm, entire or ± toothed, the inner up to 12 x 3 mm. Corolla pinkish with darker centre, 2.5–3.5 cm long, densely pilose outside. Ovary densely pilose. Probably bushland on sand. N1 or 2; E Ethiopia. Peck 381. The only collection seen from Somalia was made 26 Dec 1941 in “British Somaliland”, and no further information is available.
