Information
Tree, 80–100 ft. or more high, buttressed, with 30–40 ft. bole and girth up to 12 ft.; bark green, wood very soft; deciduous; flowers scarlet, appearing before the leaves; in drier parts of the forest regions, especially on rocky hills.
