Notes
LOCAL USES. None recorded.   H. tigreensis is widespread in Africa and common, and its habitat not significantly threatened. It is rated here as of “least concern” for conservation.   H. tigreensis can be reliably be distinguished from the species of the genus that are annual herbs (or short-lived perennials), namely H. kirkii, H. modesta and H. glanduligera by its yellowish green, small (± 4 mm long) flowers (versus red, mauve pink or white, 5 mm or more long).
