HELICHRYSUM Gerrardi Harv. [family COMPOSITAE]
Information
stem erect, branching, laxly leafy, glabrous and striate, smooth; branches long; leaves linear-lanceolate, acuminate, narrowed to the base, with revolute margins, quite smooth and even on the upper, glabrous on both surfaces, all 3-nerved, decurrent at base into a long, narrow stem wing; infl. corymboso-cymose; heads (not mature) crowded, sessile, few-fl.; inv. glabrous, glossy, its scales erect, oblong, obtuse, lemon-yellow. Very like H. stenopterum, but quite glabrous, with perfectly smooth (not scabrous) upper surfaces of leaf. Flowers not seen.
