rosette 1 in. long, 2–3 in. diam.; leaves about 30, multifarious, ascending, lanceolate, 1–1 1/4 in. long, 1/3 in. broad, 1/4 in. thick, pale green, turgid on the face, the upper third with vertical lines of darker green, the tip furnished with a large pellucid awn, the back rounded and doubly keeled towards the apex, the edges ciliated with deltoid-cuspidate pellucid teeth 1/2 line long; peduncle simple, about a foot long; raceme lax, few-flowered, 4–6 in. long; pedicels short; bracts as long as the lower pedicels; perianth 5/8 in. long; segments nearly regular, about as long as the tube. null
