Information
Shrub or small tree up to 10 m tall; bark brown or silvery grey, smooth or fairly rough. Leaflets in 3–4(–5) pairs, obovate or elliptic, 3.5–7 x 2.2–3.8 cm, subglabrous, acute or rounded at the apex, cuneate to rounded at the base. Sepals 4.

Notes
Cenah, egni, hambeebe (Som.). Subsp. fraxinifolius occurs in Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe, whereas subsp. vaughanii (Dunkley) Friis is distributed in western Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Burundi.
