Information
Shrub, 3–5 ft. high; branches glabrate. Leaves 3 1/2 by 1/2 in., narrowed at both ends, when mature nearly glabrous; cystoliths many small on both surfaces; petiole 0– 1/3 in. long. Cymes 1 in. long, often terminal on axillary branches, minutely and densely hairy; bracteoles 1/6 in. long, often about the middle of the pedicel. Calyx 1/3 in. long, minutely pubescent. Corolla 1 1/4 in. long, nearly glabrous; tube 1/3 in. long, cylindric, widened upwards; lips curved. Filaments glabrous; anthers 1/8 in. long. Capsule 2 in. long, 4-seeded, glabrous; stalk 1 in. long, stout, solid.
