Information
Several long-petiolate leaves 3-4 ft. high arising from the rhizome, leaves sometimes reddish beneath; inflorescences shorter than the leaves, narrow, 1 or 2 flowers appearing at a time, decorative purple with yellow staminode; in marshy places by streams in forest.
